stya support

stya is one app for restaurant and café staff. It covers the till, the waiter pad, shifts and the venue's admin, on iOS, Android and in Chrome. It is published by Kenneth Johannes Fang, an individual developer in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Getting access

stya is for registered venues. Staff sign in with the venue's account, and the venue's owner adds and removes people. If you cannot sign in, ask your owner or manager first. They can invite you again or reset your access.

A venue that wants to use stya must register before anyone can sign in. To register, email privacy@stya.app with the venue's name.

Getting help

Email privacy@stya.app. Please say:

  • the venue's name,
  • the device, and whether you use iOS, Android or Chrome,
  • what you pressed and what happened.

Deleting your account and data

You can ask stya to delete your account and the data that belongs to it. This section is for people who work at a venue that uses stya, and for anyone who wants to know how deletion works.

  1. Email privacy@stya.app from the address on your stya account. Put "Delete my stya account" in the subject.
  2. Give the name of the venue you work for.
  3. stya replies to confirm that the request came from you, and may ask one question to check it.
  4. stya deletes your account and its data within 30 days of the confirmation, and tells you when it is done.

You do not need to sign in to make the request. An option inside the app is planned.

What stya keeps. Some records stay because the law or the venue's books need them: the sales and payment records of the venue, including bills you served and payment proof photos, and the venue's change history. These records keep your staff name as it appeared on them because they are the venue's business record: the venue's sales records stay with its data for as long as the venue's account is active and 30 days after the service ends, on the venue's legitimate interest and its legal obligations as controller. stya deletes your login, your PIN hash and your contact details. stya keeps nothing else about you after the 30 days.

Customers of a venue. If you are a customer of a venue (a member or a booking guest), the venue holds your record and decides how long to keep it. Write to the venue first. You can also write to privacy@stya.app, and stya passes the request to the venue and helps it act on it.

A venue closing. When a venue's service ends, its data is read-only for 30 days, then archived and deleted, and the archive is deleted 30 days after that.
